A check valve is located in the blowpipe of the bagpipes.

In earlier days this used to be a little leather flap, that had to be kept supple by applying grease or moisture. Nowadays a variant made from low mainteanance plastic is preferred.

Our check valves are made from soft PVC. In case of emergency the end caps for towing kites are avaible in  craft shops as a quick replacement.
